Having retired from the United States Air Force in 2016 and living in Alaska since 2011, Tim has the experience you are looking for when buying or selling military investment properties, single-family residences, multi-unit buildings, vacant land, and recreational properties all over the great state of Alaska. Having fallen in love with Alaska and the amazing landscape, Tim became a permanent resident of the Eagle River & Chugiak communities and has grown to be very familiar with all of the areas surrounding his home area, including Palmer, Wasilla, Anchorage, Big Lake, Willow, Girdwood, Talkeetna, and the Kenai Peninsula. Through his work in the Air Force, Tim developed great communication skills and learned how to get things accomplished. From listing to negotiations to closing, Tim has the skills and experience to provide you with a smooth and fun transaction.
Tim is active in the Chugiak & Eagle River communities. He is a member of the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Anchorage Board of REALTORS® Military Committee, serving on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. As a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9785 in Eagle River, Tim donates to veterans in need and also donates his time to help out the community. Tim holds an associate degree in Aircrew Safety Systems and stays abreast of all the changes happening within the Air Force and its sister forces so he can better serve the military members and veterans who are PCSing in and out with buying and selling their homes or helping them turn their home into an investment property to better their retirement plan. Tim works with properties all over the state from the Kenai Peninsula to the Anchorage Bowl to the Valley and even out to Talkeetna. He looks forward to providing local introductions to what he loves most about the state of Alaska and to help you find the perfect recreational property or perfect single-family home for you to plant your roots.
Tim was born and raised in Waterloo, Nebraska, and now lives in Chugiak. He left for the Air Force in 1995 and retired from the Air Force in 2016. His personal interests include hiking around Chugiak, fishing in the beautiful Prince William Sound, hunting around Eureka and Circle, camping in all of the great RV campgrounds around the state, working out, socializing with friends and family, and the occasional Cornhole competition.
Ken Speegle grew up in Alabama, but always had a fascination with Alaska. Ken joined the Army right out of high school and had always listed Alaska on his preference of duty assignments. He finally got the opportunity late in his career, being stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska, in 2005. Upon arriving in Alaska, Ken fell in love with the Eagle River, Alaska community and its small-town feel and has been there ever since. Knowing that Alaska was a great place to live and raise a family, he retired from the Army in 2010 and began his career in real estate.
Real estate was a perfect fit for Ken. Having been the consumer in several real estate transactions during his travels throughout the Army, he was fortunate to have agents that went above and beyond, setting a great example for his own business. He approaches every client and their transaction with the heart of a teacher. Education is important to him, just as training was in the Army. He has earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), which only 3% of realtors nationwide obtain this accomplishment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwest State University of Louisiana and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from TUI University with a concentration in Negotiation and Conflict Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Ken is very knowledgeable of real estate sales in residential, multi-family properties, and vacant land in Eagle River, Alaska, Anchorage, Alaska, Palmer, Alaska, Wasilla, Alaska, and Girdwood, Alaska. So, if you're military being assigned to Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER) or a job transfer looking for a home, he is ready to assist. For those having to depart our area, Ken is a listing specialist and has the necessary knowledge and tools to achieve your goals to sell your properties. Personally owning recreational property in Glennallen, Alaska, he is very knowledgeable in Alaskan recreation-style properties in the Cooper River Basin, Kenai Peninsula, and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and ready to assist in those areas as well.
When not working or enjoying the great outdoors, Ken knows the importance of giving back to the community. He spends countless hours volunteering at the local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), where he has held almost every elected or appointed position in that organization. He also volunteers with the local Elks Lodge, American Legion, Chugiak Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, and Anchorage Board of Realtors. One of the many things that makes Alaska a great place is the strong communities. If you think Alaska is for you, don’t hesitate to connect with Ken for all your real estate needs.
Growing up in Montana and spending his younger years there, Joseph Nelson gained an immense appreciation for the outdoors and all the beauty they hold. When he moved from Montana to Alaska in 2009, it was an easy transition. During most of his time in Alaska, he has been handling business development and sales for a couple of companies in the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to, BrandSafway and Black Gold Express, Inc. Now he is putting some of that knowledge of the state and sales to use in the real estate industry.
In his free time, Joseph enjoys all the great adventures that Alaska offers. He spends his summers on Finger Lake and Big Lake boating and the Kenai River, Susitna River, and Copper River fishing. He also enjoys spending time in his Jeep and Polaris traveling to the Knik Glacier, Jonesville Mine, and King River. In the winter, he brews beer in his garage to stay warm.
Joseph looks forward to working with you to help you either sell or find your Alaska dream home or property in places like Eagle River, Anchorage, Wasilla, and Palmer. Those are just a few of the places he can help you find a home, whether it be a house on the hillside, a recreational cabin, or a parcel of land to build your dream home on.
Kim Hardman has lived in Alaska since 1975. She and her family lived in the Kenny Lake area of the Copper River Basin for almost 40 years and the Chugiak and Eagle River area for over a decade.
She and her family enjoy the great outdoors that Alaska provides: great mountain trails to hike in Palmer, Chugiak, Eagle River, and Anchorage. There are also paved trails for walking or biking in Chugiak, Eagle River, and Anchorage. Beautiful lakes for kayaking and canoeing at Eklutna Lake, Beach Lake, and Mirror Lake in the Chugiak area, and Fire Lake in the Eagle River area. There are also trails and slopes for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. She's also up for a challenging game of ping-pong any time of year and tennis in the summer, playing on a court in Chugiak with mountains as the backdrop.
She's happy to help you with your real estate needs, whether you are looking to buy your first home or looking to sell and upsize or sell and downsize.
Athena Singaas is a lifelong Alaskan with classic roots. She grew up in the remote town of Whittier, AK, as the daughter of a railroader. Marine wildlife and exploring Prince William Sound are among her favorite hobbies, to name a few.
She started her career in real estate as a receptionist at the early age of 20 and became a licensed REALTOR® in 2003. Her experience over the years selling real estate in the Anchorage and Mat-Su areas has exposed her to a broad variety of clients: investors, first-time homebuyers, multi-family properties, and foreclosures. Having developed a broad range of client relationships, Athena believes that not all deals come with a pretty pink bow and are easy to close. She believes that through agent accountability, teamwork, and transparency, agent and client trust is built.
Athena enjoys selling real estate in Alaska, which has led her to lifelong friendships with both clients and colleagues. No deal is ever the same, and she looks forward to earning your business.
